Steve is an experienced business leader and board director, holding over 30 years of experience in competitive retail & wholesale energy markets in the UK, Europe and US. He has proven capabilities in delivering strong business leadership and helping businesses position themselves for acquisition. 

Steve was a founding director of SmartestEnergy in the UK; establishing the brand, operating model and was accountable for all front office activity within their I&C Customer business. Steve was then Regional Director for Gazprom’s retail businesses when entering the Germany and Netherlands while being Head of Marketing & Communications globally. Finally Steve moved into the Director of Commercial Strategy covering all commercial strategies for Gazprom Energy at European market level.

Steve has been consulting since 2015 and a TUME Associate since January 2019. He has been advising large corporations on their energy market strategies for (retail and generation). Steve held Interim MD positions for a leading energy software business and a new entrant gas supply business.

Diane is an experienced business leader and board director, holding over 30 years of experience in commercial leadership roles working in the energy market in the UK and Europe. Diane has proven expertise in challenging the status quo and has a deep understanding of renewable assets and realising value.

Diane joined the energy industry with the National Coal board, working in the Industrial Sales Department selling coal to large industrial consumers and developing commercial relationships across the industry. She then moved to Eastern Natural Gas (later TXU) where she initiated some of the first UK NBP Gas supply agreements for power stations and structured electricity and gas deals (culminating in the world’s first Virtual Tolling Agreement). Diane then joined Entergy as Head of Commercial Operations negotiating gas and electricity contracts in the UK and Europe,  Next up, Diane joined Tradelink Solutions as Commercial Director delivering solutions to renewable energy clients. Following the purchase of LoCo2 by Solarplicity, she operated as MD for the initial transition period.

Diane has been consulting since 2018 and a TUME Associate since June 2019. She has supported a number of energy companies with advisory support, commercial structuring review and mentoring of C-suite executives. Clients have included industrial clients, renewables developers, energy suppliers and energy consultancies in the UK and overseas. Diane is also currently a serving member of Elexon’s BSC Panel.

Jon is an experienced business leader and board director, experienced in risk management and commercial roles in the wholesale and retail energy markets in the UK, Europe and US. He has proven leadership skills in delivering strong commercial performance and managing large teams through complex change. 

Jon has broad experience in the energy industry having worked in the generation, retail and trading sectors and has worked in the UK, US and across the EU. He joined the industry as a power station engineer, before moving into the commercial management of power station operations. Jon then led the Power Trading team of Innogy (formerly National Power) before moving to the US to work on the commercial structuring of third-party power station optimisation deals. He then returned to the UK and joined the Retail business of Npower  eventually progressing to Director of Retail Energy Management where he was accountable for all commercial risk across the business.

Jon has been an independent consultant since 2017 and a TUME Associate since May 2018. He has supported a number of energy companies in developing their trading capability and in general commercial management of their businesses. Clients have included generators, renewables developers, trading companies and suppliers in the UK and overseas.
